A style force to be reckoned with, Sara Zucker is well known for providing daily outfit inspiration and scoping out incredible finds via her Tumblr, Farpitzs(which is the Yiddish word for ‘all dressed up, ’ just in case you were curious). As if being one of the most popular fashion voices in the blogosphere wasn’t time consuming enough, the well-heeled trendsetter also happens to be Glamour magazine’s community manager. Lucky for us, she was able to make some time in her busy schedule to guest blog for us this week. Check back daily as Zucker shares everything from her favorite fall trends to what’s in her cosmetics bag.

I don’t travel much, but when I do, my favorite tip is to use a cosmetic bag as a clutch. It cuts down on the amount that you need to pack, there are so many different styles on the market, and by doubling its use, I don’t mind spending a bit more on one (though you can easily snag them for free with purchase at many beauty counters in department stores). My favorites are punchy, patterned versions that add an instant pop of personality to any outfit.
We love bright makeup bags, too. Check out some of our faves here.
Must-ard Contrasts
Creating contrasts in outfits makes overcast colours come to life. Referencing the Halton classic dresses of the 1970’s, Vanja layers with a comfortable jersey fabric t-shirt under a stylish dress. Thus she creates a monochrome effect with exciting textures while exuding a dressed down and comfortable style. However when adding purple cotton stockings, the mustard coloured dress take on a life of its own.

Levelling Layers
The ever-ravishing Gabriella sees the importance of keeping warm in wintertime. Layering three cardigans inside her fall jacket ensures she is comfortable while keeping her temperature at a preferred level. She starts with the lightest colours and builds outward with darker tones in the same colour gauge. When wanting to extend the usage of you jacket another season, layering never does such wonders as in the coldest months of the year.

Tantalizing Textures
Textures can supply a garment with the excitement that so often seem lost come the last of winter. This coat, rich in both structure and texture, not only eludes dullness; it captures comfort and nostalgia – reminding us of long lost Hollywood darlings and snug fires in places not yet visited. Worn her, as an object of the gaze in its own right, new textures also brings back life to dark and dull winter outfits.

Anja Konstantinova photographed by Bec Lorrimer. I can’t get over how beautiful this girl is, and the fact that she’s a midget in the modelling world makes her all the more interesting.
