Letter poem for poetry.
Andy, Baby,
I’ve looked into your personal life,
Invaded your thoughts,
Reading letters never meant to be seen.
That is how I got to know you;
You will never know me.
I’ve seen ideas that flow through your brain:
Converted to film,
Painted on Canvas,
Photographed.
“You have to do stuff that average people don’t understand,
Because those are the only good things.”
I’ve received advice from your words.
Learned
of your beliefs.
Grown
from your experiences.
It is, however, unfortunate, but true:
“As soon as you stop wanting something,
you get it.”
You’ve been there for me,
An influence,
An inspiration.
I know you,
but I’ve never met you.
