чёрт, как я люблю мечтать. иногда забываюсь из-за этого. перед сном, в школе, даже сидя за компьютером. представляю иной мир, где всё другое, где нету учёбы, где нету расписания на весь день, где всегда есть свободное время, в которое ты можешь пойти куда угодно. ты представляешь это место, ты воображаешь людей, которых ты хочешь видеть. но где-то зазвонил телефон или тебя позвали и вот, ты опять в своём ничтожном мире.

Жизнь — карусель, на которой никому не дано удержаться надолго. И она всегда в конце концов возвращается на тоже самое место, замыкая круг

Хо́гвартс (официальное название Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry или, реже, Hogwarts Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry, в переводах — Шко́ла/Акаде́мия Чароде́йства и Волшебства́ «Хо́гвартс». Уточнение во второй книге, что «Хогвартс» в переводе на «магловский» язык — это «вепрь». Если переставить слоги английского названия (Hogwarts), то получится слово warthog, то есть африканский дикий кабан, бородавочник.).

Хогвартс был основан около тысячи лет назад (точная дата неизвестна) четырьмя волшебниками: колдунами Годриком Гриффиндором, Салазаром Слизерином, и ведьмами Кандидой Когтевран и Пенелопой Пуффендуй.

Целью основателей было обучение и воспитание детей с магическим потенциалом. Этих детей собирали по всей стране. Однако со временем среди основателей произошел раскол. Салазар Слизерин полагал, что в школе не следует обучать детей, родители которых маглы, а принимать следует детей только из семей, где оба родителя волшебники. Тогда впервые возникла идея о «чистоте крови». Разногласия между Слизерином и остальными основателями привели к тому, что Салазару Слизерину пришлось покинуть стены школы.

Хогвартс является единственной школой магии в Великобритании. Обучение длится 7 лет. В конце каждого года сдаются экзамены, но особенно важны для будущего учеников экзамены в конце 5-го и 7-го года. Количество учеников Хогвартса точно неизвестно, но скорее всего туда принимаются абсолютно все дети-волшебники из Великобритании.

Управляют школой директор и заместитель директора. К моменту начала действия директором школы является Альбус Дамблдор, его заместителем — Минерва МакГонагалл. Директор отчитывается перед Советом Попечителей, состоящим из 12 человек.

Обучение в школе бесплатное, но книги и школьный инвентарь учащиеся обычно покупают сами. Однако есть специальный фонд для покупки учебников и школьного инвентаря малоимущим ученикам.

This isn’t the time to make hard and fast decisions, this is the time to make mistakes.

Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere. Fall in love – a lot. Major in philosophy ‘cause there’s no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind. And change it again, because nothing's permanent…

So make as many mistakes as you can. That way, someday, when they ask again what we want to be..
