The outer sheath may be made of any other stuff which relies on environments where these power cables will be utilized. For instance, some cables are designed only to be utilized for indoor purpose where there is zero or insignificant amount of moisture. The jacket should be made of a thin texture and is more prone to be damaged if it faces any kind of liquid. The cables which are designed to be utilized for outdoor purpose and buried under ground should have water tight jackets which are quite heavy, dense and also long lasting.
