I currently feel like a zombie. I am so so so tired. A combonation of a 32km walk and arguing with some drunk men who threatened to pee against our tent in the middle of the night last night have meant I feel like I’m sleeping with my eyes open right now. The weekend itself was actually quite fun, and in a couple of week’s time I will hardly remember the bad parts. But literally my toenail is coming off and I have mosquito bites in places I wasn’t even aware mosquitos got into and I fell in mud on countless occasions, but I also laughed so much I cried over and over again and didn’t eat a vegetable in days. It also made me realise that living without the internet for a few days is fine. Nothing changes. I suppose I should do it more. It’s a year since harry potter and the deathly hallows part 2 was released. that’s very sad. My hips are bruised and my shoulders feel like someone is constantly pushing down on them and I have been an awful vegetarian this weekend (haribos are nice okay), and I didn’t find my disposable camera until I got home. We had a noodle eating race and I ripped my rucksack on barbed wire and a boy flashed us (though I admit I missed this exciting part of the weekend). We walked around the countryside making animal noises and singing songs from Annie and high school musical and if I had not had a 13kg rucksack on it might have been somewhat more enjoyable. I suddenly empathise with snails and tortoises.
Also our sexual innuendos for the walk (I hope I’m using that word correctly) were hilarious, I’ll tell you a few
-It was long and hard, but overall I enjoyed it
-We couldn’t get in the front way so we took the back entrance
-The wet parts could get a bit slippery, but the dry parts weren’t always great either, sometimes I just couldn’t tell what I was doing
There were many more because we kept thinking of them but omg I was crying
