This place is probably the best-known coffee shop in the world, but brand name recognition aside, that doesn’t necessarily mean it offers the best weed and grass, just as McDonalds doesn’t necessarily make the best hamburger.
Besides the coffee shop, the Bulldog emporium in Amsterdam encompasses a hotel, rental apartments, a grand café, an online store, and a whole other amount of doggy doo, pardon our pun. The Bulldog claims to have been the first coffee shop in the world, but that honor belongs to the Mellow Yellow. Even though Bulldog founder Henk de Vries has valiantly fought for the decriminalization of marijuana and was arrested many times during his struggle, it’s too bad the company has resorted to rewriting history.
If you feel the need to impress your fellow stoners with some Bulldog merchandising, by all means, go ahead, but there are plenty of other cozier and cheaper places to chill out and get your high.
