Dan actually mentions Blair to Serena… right next to Rufus and Nate. I bet Serena wanted to die…
Serena is not on Dan’s radar, and is glad Blair is in her office because she wants to ask for Blair’s help… Blair = on Dan’s radar.
Blair mentions ROSEMARY’S BABY…
And she tells Serena that Sophie insists on her moving to Monaco. Serena’s response? “Sucks for you! Now, can you, LOVE OF DAN’S LIFE, convince him to give me the rights of his book for the movie?”
“His book is ridiculous and so is he.” = Blair was thinking about his MUPPET HAIR, and how she misses it, and you know it!
Jane arrives, and S says B could help as a way to justify her presence there. Jane tells her that THIS ISN’T HIGH SCHOOL. ~ REAL SUBTLE!~
Dan finally realises what Serena wanted all along, and when she says she’s finished the book, he explains again that Sabrina is not Serena; how there are parts of her, but not only her, that it’s a novel, inspired by many things but not speaking some deeper truth … OMG YOU ARE REALLY SUBTLE GOSSIP GIRL! Like, really, because now we learn why S said she had “unfortunately” finished reading it: she questions this lack of a deeper truth, saying that she might be living in the past because he was the love of her life, and she thought she was his too. Their faces as Gossip Girl says “that’s the thing about writing what you know: soon everybody else knows it too” are perfect.
Interesting how a Blair/Eleanor moment inspires Rufus to talk with Dan and let him explain…
Now Serena is back in the penthouse, and we don’t know what happened after with Dan… AWKWARD SILENCE, probably, LOTS of it… S says she’s sorry she was not there for Blair and it was because she was jealous, and Blair thinks it’s about the prince, and says marrying one is not what fairytales lead you to believe. But S makes it clear: she was jealous because Blair’s “the star of Dan’s book.”
It’s interesting to see the bit after, with B sorta smiling/snorting at it, and S averting her eyes for a bit. I’m not sure, but was this the first time EVER in which S admitted being jealous of Blair, wanting something Blair has, just generally showing herself vulnerable and insecure?
B tries to reassure her saying it’s “pure fiction.” I think she didn’t read it, and she does not know a thing as to how things go on the book. S smiles at her… probably realising B has no idea about how real Dan’s feelings actually are. When she does read it, she’ll have to face the truth… it’s gonne be epic!
And then Dan and Serena talk on the phone, and we can tell that they left it at “you’re not the love of my life” before, because Dan is now going on about how they are too young to talk about knowing who is the love of their lives (in synch with what B told S on 420), except he’s totally avoiding talking about his very real feelings for Blair by saying this. Also: “this thing’s not over yet” goes along what GG said at the end of the last episode, AND with what B said when they watched ROSEMARY’S BABY on 415.

если коротко, это достаточно интересное изложение о той серии, когда вышла книга Дэна и начались все эти разборки с Сабриной, звездой книги Блер и признание Серены, что она завидует Блер… ;)
к сожалению не хватает еще реакции Нейта на просиходящее, но дописывать и пеервирать не буду, спаисбо создателям, повеселили..)
