Jake: To apologize.

Cassie: For stealing those from our garden?

Jake: Okay, two things. I feel something between the two of us too. I— I’m just not totally sure how to deal with it.

Cassie: Well what you’ve been trying so far hasn’t worked, if that helps.

Jake: I know. And I’m sorry. You just sort of took me by surprise from the first time we met. I know it’s probably too late but I’d be honored to go to the fundraiser with you tonight.
