The disability could be the result of the conditions that existed before the anomaly in the womb the chromosome or the way the foetus forms in the womb.
The disability could also be determined immediately. Examples are like cognitive abilities, mobility, hearing, vision or behavior. This again could be attributed to single genes or when there is a violation in the chromosomes.
Disabilities could be discovered during childhood or the developing years like autism or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder which is known as ADHD.
Disabilities could be the result of injuries sustained - that could result in mental or physical disabilities. It could also be a result of long standing conditions such as diabetes mellitus.
These can be static in the case of a loss of a limb. It could be progressive where it gets worse with time, it could be intermittent like some kinds of multiple scelerosis.
